AML & Security Compliance
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) Commitment
1. Policy Statement
CardBix is strictly committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and compliance with global Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and fraud prevention principles. Our direct counterparty desk proactively protects users, merchants, and the broader financial ecosystem against illicit use.
2. Fraud Detection & Risk-Based Monitoring
- Automated Code Verification: Every voucher code submitted undergoes real-time checks to verify legitimate merchant issuance and single-use validity.
- Velocity & Volume Thresholds: We monitor rapid high-volume submissions, suspicious IP clustering, and irregular transaction patterns.
- Blacklist Screening: Submitted wallet addresses and voucher codes are cross-referenced against known fraud databases, compromised code lists, and high-risk sanctions lists.
3. Know-Your-Customer (KYC) Triggers
While everyday retail exchanges for standard voucher denominations (e.g. €20, €50, €100) proceed seamlessly without friction, CardBix reserves the right to request identity verification (government photo ID, proof of purchase receipt) under specific circumstances, including:
- Cumulative transaction amounts exceeding €2,000 within a 24-hour window.
- Transactions flagged by automated risk-scoring systems for irregular origin or conflicting metadata.
- Investigations stemming from merchant chargeback notifications or law enforcement inquiries.
4. Cooperation with Regulatory & Law Enforcement Agencies
CardBix maintains a zero-tolerance stance toward stolen voucher trafficking, card fraud, and phishing proceeds. We actively cooperate with recognized financial authorities and law enforcement bodies upon receipt of valid legal process or court orders.
